Project Overview & Objectives
The client asked Synaptitude’s consultants to help with the requirements definition, selection, and procurement of an enterprise back-office management system. The client’s business was continuing to expand and they had outgrown their existing back office support system. Synaptitude’s services included the full cycle of system identification, from conception to execution with regard to both business process and technical requirements.
Our Involvement
The Synaptitude consulting team worked closely with the client to help define the financial, functional and technical requirements and determine the feasibility of various package selection options. Once analysis was complete, we researched and identified potential vendors matching the client’s requirements, and developed a formal RFP and selection process, which was submitted to potential vendors. Our team managed the vendor RFP process, working with vendors to resolve queries and ensuring responsiveness. We performed a comparative evaluation of the responses, the result of which was a vendor shortlist. We then facilitated both in-person and web-enabled vendor presentations for client management, and guided the client in a scientific evaluation of the offerings and assisted in the selection of the best solution. Finally, we assisted the client in negotiations for product and support in order to ensure the optimum mix of price and capabilities.
