Case Study

Client

A membership association, composed of over 5,700 schools, colleges, and universities, whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. The company serves seven million students and their parents, 23,000 high schools, and 3,800 colleges through programs and services in college readiness, college admission, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning.

Project Overview & Objectives

The client was in need of immediate product management assistance and expertise to ensure the rollout of a new online product to customers. The roll-out included ensuring technical delivery, supporting key corporate management functions, managing communications with customers and managing the ongoing roadmap for future product releases.

Our Involvement

Synaptitude stepped in and delivered product management expertise to seamlessly continue the project and rollout. We were responsible for developing communications of the new system to users and the delivering support to ensure the program roll-out was accomplished according to plan. Our support included managing resources to facilitate new user access, training and documentation. Once the system roll-out was completed, we continued to manage the online solution by scoping and planning future releases, reviewing and approving use cases, testing and deploying enhancement releases, and meeting with educators to help define future enhancements.

Synaptitude’s bridged the gap between the business and technology teams in order to succeed and deliver the product. We additionally delivered expertise to other areas of the program, including the mapping of current ordering processes and the definition of areas for process improvement.

Results and Benefits

As a result of this project, the client was able to successfully roll-out their online product, on schedule, while continuing operations without interruption.  The client has leveraged the process documentation and analysis to support streamlining the product ordering steps for the next school year.
