One of the world’s leading providers of communications solutions and services operating in 170 countries. Its principal activities include networked IT services, local, national and international telecommunications services, and higher-value broadband and internet products and services.

Project Overview & Objectives

The client was rolling out a major new product that would be marketed to multi-national corporations for their key telecommunications needs. The processes and systems surrounding the lifecycle of the product were to be fully automated. The objective of this piece of the project was to ensure that the operational processes surrounding the Billing system, both for customer billing and internal trading, were viable, as well as to facilitate user testing of the Billing system.

Our Involvement

A telecommunications client that is undergoing a major new product rollout asked Synaptitude to play a key part in designing the billing operations for this product. Synaptitude facilitated sessions with client management and staff and other vendors from around the world to develop processes for this new product that were user-friendly, high quality and as automated as possible. Synaptitude worked with the existing billing staff to prepare them for the changes coming with this new product and to ensure that their existing billing is not compromised. The work products in this project included product introductory materials for billing staff, process flows, statements of strategic direction, requirements definition, and testing materials.

Results and Benefits

Synaptitude delivered all work products on time and under budget, and provided key process and system recommendations to maximize the quality and efficiency of the Billing for the new product. Synaptitude participated in international user testing for this product rollout and utilized knowledge gained in this testing to help the client with additional system rollouts.
